    The short version

WhatsApp on your phone and WhatsApp connected to WazzaBee officially are two different WhatsApp products, not one app in two windows.

The phone app is built for personal messaging. The official business connection is built for a company talking to its customers: several agents on one number, templates, broadcasts, history and a link to your CRM.

That is why some familiar buttons from your phone are missing in business chats. Here is exactly what, and why.

What business messaging on WhatsApp does not have

WhatsApp does not open these features up for business numbers, so no service can add them.

    • Editing a sent message. On your phone you can fix the text within 15 minutes. On a business connection a sent message cannot be changed: not by you, not for the customer. If you made a mistake, send a correction as the next message.

    • Deleting a message on the customer's side. There is no "delete for everyone" for business numbers.

    • Online and last seen indicators. A business number neither shows them nor sees them.

    • Posting status updates (Stories). A business number cannot post statuses.

    • Polls, disappearing messages and view-once photos. These formats live in the app only.

    • Writing first whenever you feel like it. You can reply to a customer with plain text for 24 hours after their last message. After that, only with a template approved by WhatsApp in advance. More on this: Why a message was not delivered and how to work with templates →

    • Using the same number in the phone app. After the official connection the number lives in WazzaBee. The exception is the shared mode: Connecting WhatsApp Coexistence →

What WazzaBee does not have yet

WhatsApp offers these features to businesses, but we have not built them into our service yet. As soon as we do, we will post about it in the What's new section.

    • Calling a customer from the chat. WhatsApp allows voice calls for business, and there are no country restrictions for Kazakhstan. Video calls for business are still in development at WhatsApp. There is no call button in WazzaBee chats. Call the customer the usual way.

    • Group chats. WhatsApp lets businesses create small groups (up to 8 participants), provided the business account is officially verified. In WazzaBee the conversation is one-to-one with the customer.

What the business connection does better than a phone

    • Several employees on one number. The whole team can reply at the same time, and no phone is needed for it.

    • Broadcasts with no risk of a ban. Through approved templates, the way WhatsApp itself allows.

    • High limits. From 1000 messages a day and up: Limits, tier and number quality →

    • A link to your CRM. The conversation lands in the customer's record automatically.

    • Quick replies and templates. Message templates →

    • The whole history is kept in the system and does not walk out of the door with an employee's phone.

    • A business profile. Logo, description, category, website and address: the customer sees them on the company card.

    • Delivery and read receipts are visible right in the chat.

    FAQ

I edited a message in the WazzaBee chat: will the customer see the new text?
No. A message that has already been sent cannot be changed in any product that works with WhatsApp officially.

Why does my personal WhatsApp have an Edit button and this does not?
The personal app and the business connection are different WhatsApp products with different feature sets. Features from the app do not carry over to business messaging automatically.

    Will editing appear later?
As soon as WhatsApp opens this up for business numbers, we will add it to WazzaBee and post about it in the What's new section.

What if I connect via QR code: will editing work there?
No. You can compare the connection methods here: How to connect WhatsApp →
