📱 Connecting WhatsApp with a QR code
This is the fastest way: it takes literally 2 minutes. We recommend starting here.
Step 1: choose "WhatsApp" → "QR code"
Once you pick WhatsApp you'll see two ways to connect:
| Method | Description | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 🔐 QR code | The fastest way. You just scan a QR code with your phone | ~2 minutes |
| 🌐 WABA (Meta) | The professional way. Through registration in Meta Business | ~15 minutes |
Click "QR code".
Step 2: name the channel
- You'll see the "Channel name" field
- Type any name that makes sense to you, for example:
My WhatsAppStore WhatsAppWork number
- Below it there are instructions for scanning the QR code
- Click the "Start scanning" button
Step 3: scan the QR code
A QR code appears on the screen: a square black-and-white image.
What is a QR code? It's a special image your phone camera can "read". Here it's used to link your WhatsApp to WazzaBee.
Now do this (on your phone!):
- Take the phone that has WhatsApp installed
- Open WhatsApp on the phone
- On Android (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and similar phones):
- Tap the three dots ⋮ in the top right corner of the WhatsApp screen
- In the menu tap "Linked devices"
- On iPhone:
- Tap "Settings" (the gear icon in the bottom right)
- Tap "Linked devices"
- Tap the "Link a device" button
- You may be asked to confirm (fingerprint, passcode or Face ID)
- The camera opens with a scanning frame
- Point the phone camera at the QR code on your computer screen
- The phone reads the code automatically: you'll hear a sound or see the phone screen change
Step 4: wait for the connection
- After the scan your computer screen shows "Checking the connection..." with a spinner
- Wait 5–15 seconds
- A green checkmark ✅ appears with the text "WhatsApp connected!"
- Click the "Go to channels" button
- Done! Your WhatsApp is connected to WazzaBee! 🎉
What can go wrong
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| The QR code disappeared or went grey | A QR code is valid for 20 seconds. Click "Refresh QR" and scan the new one |
| The phone doesn't pick up the QR code | Move the phone closer to the screen. Make sure the camera points right at the code. Turn up the screen brightness |
| The error "WhatsApp didn't connect" | Check the internet on your phone. Close WhatsApp and open it again. Try once more |
| There is no "Linked devices" item | Update WhatsApp to the latest version in Google Play or the App Store |
| It says "Too many devices" | WhatsApp allows up to 4 linked devices. Open "Linked devices" and remove one you don't need |
Important: the phone with WhatsApp must be online and WhatsApp must be working (not blocked). If the phone is switched off, messages still reach WazzaBee: that's how WhatsApp Web works.
